1. This Sunday our 1st & 8th Graders will have their Class Mass at 10:00 A.M. in the
Upper Church and will be sitting with their families anywhere near the front and
praying for any special intentions, especially the victims, survivors, and first
responders who are offering untiring assistance during this devastating tragedy in
Turkey & Syria! We are also praying for the recovery of Officer Maysonet, who was
recently seriously wounded and is the father of one of our First Graders. The students
were asked to write get well cards with messages and prayers for Officer Maysonet
and we also sent Eagles hoodies for the family and he is doing better after surgery.
2. Thank you for the amazing number of soup items brought in this week! They will be
picked up on Tuesday by the volunteers at the Holy Redeemer Food Cupboard who are
always appreciate your generosity! Also, we are grateful to our Home & School
for picking up the tab for mementos for the students who received mini-footballs,
super-bowl buddies for Grades PreK to K and small plush eagles, which will still be
given to Grades 8 & Pre-K 4 next Tuesday, due to an unexpected shipping delay that we
were not aware of until before dismissal. Our 8th graders did receive Eagles hoodies
commemorating their Conference win and as a thank you for their consistent service
at any time throughout the school year! We appreciate your understanding and
acknowledge the enthusiasm of your loyal and dedicated children to our Eagles
Football Team. My head is still ringing with various renditions of "Fly, Eagles, Fly" that
resonated throughout the school and will hopefully energize the team on Sunday as
Phaithful Phillies Phans from all over get on board the Eagle Express!
