1. Thank you to all those students, families, & staff who participated in our
Mass & May Procession last night! All the students were composed,
prayerful, and well-behaved! It was especially meaningful to our 8th
graders who were called upon by Father Babowitch to join the Communion
Class in the 1st stanza of "His Banner Over Me Is Love" along with
gestures and the directive to turn and face the congregation! As they turned
and looked dumbstruck (literally) they managed to move their lips and
eventually gesture when Father stood in the middle aisle to guide them.
In a quiet whisper I told the grads-to-be "Father signs your diplomas!"
They did manage to survive and after the Mass, procession, crowning, and
being look-outs for the Communion Class to make sure that they were
safely picked up by their parents, they relaxed and took pictures galore in
their graduation robes and thoroughly enjoyed the moment that marked
their last May Procession as a class at OLC! Because the whole evening to honor Mary was blessed, including our Sixers, we will have a dress-down
day tomorrow.
2. Grades 5 & 4 may bring in orders for nuggets/fries ($2.75) and ice cream
tomorrow for their lunches on Thursday.
3. Congratulations to Rylee Baird (5A) Nicholas Cunningham (5D) and
Matthew McFadden (6A) for completing 100 Miles as participants in the
OLC 100 Mile Club.
4. Our Burger King Night raffle tickets tomorrow will be for one of two sets of
3 tickes to the Phillies vs. Mets game on Saturday (5/12) night!
