1. All students had their throats blessed this morning to remember one of
the cures of St. Blaise, which involved a young lad with a fish bone stuck
in his throat. St. Blaise was also sought out by animals for healing and
earned him the title of Patron Saint of Veterinarians.
2. Grades 6 to 8 attended the "Road Radio USA" assembly this afternoon to
impress upon them the dangers of substance abuse, particularly alcohol.
3. The Red Cross will be taking blood donors at OLC tomorrow from 2:00 to
7:00 P.M. in the back of the Lower Church.
4. Parent Communication Folders will be sent home tomorrow.
5. Grades 6 & 3 may order hot dogs/chips ($1.75) and ice cream tomorrow
for their lunches on Wednesday.
6. Please remember our special intentions, especially Gina Pentasuglio, OLC
Class of '96 who passed away, and also my Dad, who celebrated his 99th
birthday today.
