1. Please pray for the repose of the souls of Mrs. Adelaide Schwank, mother of Mrs. Kelly
(4C) and Miss Mary Louise Piccone, OLC Parishioner and tutor of many OLC students
for a number of years. TY!
2. Yesterday 72 Eighth graders graduated at the 2:30 Mass and received the blessing of
Father Babowitch for the years ahead, and reminded them that God loves them
and Jesus & Mary are their friends! This class has earned over one million dollars in
scholarships and awards! The monetary memorial awards received by the students
yesterday was accompanied by the information necessary to thank these generous
individuals, many of whom are consistent contributors from year to year, and to keep
their loved ones memorialized in their prayers. This morning a lavish breakfast and
awesome gift bag were prepared for our graduates, after which they gathered their
goods and headed for the last round-up around the school as excited students in
Grades 1 to 7 stood outside their classrooms and joyfully cheered for their beloved
buddies/aides/safties, etc! Many thanks to our Graduation Committe for making this
a memorable event for our graduates! Tomorrow evening they will have their
Graduation Dinner/Dance off-site and well-planned by our wonderful worker-bees,
who make up the Graduation Committee! We can't thank them enough for all they do
to make our graduates feel loved and appreciated for their years at OLC!
3. Congratulations to our CYO Boys JV Baseball Team, their coaches and supportive
families, for winning the championship with a victory over St. Christopher's 4-1!
Awesome for OLC! We appreciate the many hours of dedication, practice and skill
that resulted in their victory! All the best!
4. Yearbooks will be given out tomorrow to Grades 1 thru 7. PreK and Kindergarten pick-
up will be at the front door of school during school hours the rest of this week. Extra
yearbooks are available at $20 for your first one or $15 if you are purchasing an extra
one.
