1. This Saturday, 127 full (81) and part-time (46 PREP) OLC students will
receive their First Holy Communion at the 9:00, 11:00, or 1:00 P.M. Mass.
May their lives echo the words, "When you receive the Body of Christ, you
become the Body of Christ."
2. Tomorrow Grades 1 to 8 will attend their First Friday Masses in the Upper
Church, Grades 5 to 8 at 8:00 A.M. and 1 to 4 at 9:00 A.M. We have asked
the students in these Grades to wear their school uniforms since the
Church and classrooms have air-conditioning.
3. Grades 8 & 1 may bring in orders for nuggets/fries ($2.75) and ice cream
tomorrow for their lunches on Monday.
4. All students will receive an ice cream treat at lunchtime tomorrow for their
gratitude and appreciation of the work done by Mrs. Graham and Mrs. Fox
in the School Office.
5. This Sunday the Installation Ceremony of the Neumann Scholars will take
place at St. Joseph's University at 2:15 P.M. Aidan Haurin (8A) is OLC's
29th Neumann Scholar who will have his full tuition to Father Judge paid
by the Connelly Foundation. Aidan's parents, Father Babowitch, and I will
attend the impressive event which honors Neumann Scholars throughout
the Archdiocese from the class of 2018! The consistent support of the
Connelly Foundation for Catholic Education over the years is
immeasureable and greatly appreciated by all those families who have
benefited from their generosity!
