1. Congratulations to the 144 full & part-time (PREP) students, families, and
teachers of our Communion Class! Their preparation resulted in three
inspiring Masses. Father Babowitch reminded us that "God Loves Us"
and "Jesus is our Friend." Father Kirk and Deacon Bell assisted along
with our faithful altar servers, Mrs. Volpe, Mrs. Gentile and their choirs
were awesome, and our ushers were very involved and helpful. The
participation of the Communion Class was wonderful and a deeply moving
experience for all! Most importantly, the children, with their families,
should continue attending Mass each weekend so they can receive Jesus as
often as possible. It's not just about celebrating the moment, but
continuing the momentum...
2. Tonight our Communion and Graduation classes will attend the May
Procession and Crowning of Mary at the 7 P.M. Mass in the Upper Church.
Students will wear their Communion/Graduation attire and assemble in
the gym by 6:45. Brandi Luczak will crown the Blessed Mother and be
assisted by Shanna Killion, Abby Walicki, and Michael Medycki, who will
be the crown-bearer.
3. Due to the recent rainfall, Blue/Gold Day for Grades 3 & 4 is postponed to
May 15th.
4. Yesterday at St. Joseph's University, Abbey Merrigan was one of 34
students installed as Neumann Scholars by Bishop Senior and members of
the Connelly Foundation. Grade 6 students will be bringing home a letter
for you about the Neumann Scholarship program and how to qualify for
the test which is given to 8th graders at the beginning of the school year.
We are most grateful for the generosity of the Connelly Foundation!
5-Grades 6 & 3 may bring in orders for nuggets/fries ($2.75) & ice cream
tomorrow for their lunches on Wednesday.
