1. Thank you to all those families who were able to attend the Class Mass of
our 1st & 8th graders! We were attentive to Father Babowitch's timely
message and admire his courage in mentioning our bosses. Actually he
knows how much we (OLC staff) appreciate him and his caring leadership.
(Sending me flowers for my feastday helped... just kidding!) The teachers
prepared the students well and Mrs. Winski and the cantor enhanced the
liturgy. The participation of our families, lectors, altar servers, ushers, and
Hospitality Committee added to a fine pre-Lenten experience.
2. Boy Scout Troop 460 appreciated your dining at their Pancake Breakfast
this morning! It was very tasty and the service was wonderful!
3. Palms blessed last year may be brought to the Rectory tomorrow only. They will be burned in a special ceremony to bless the ashes at 1:00 P.M.
in the school yard on Tuesday.
4. Distribution of ashes will take place during the Liturgy at 6:30, 8:00, and
9:00 A.M., 12:00 P.M. Noon, and 7:00 P.M. in the Upper Church on Ash
Wednesday.
5. Stations of the Cross will take place on all Fridays of Lent at 7:00 P.M. with
Benediction beginning this Friday, February 28th. Deacon John Teson will
preside.
