1. Our 8th graders were very respectful and well-behaved during their
retreat at the National Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia. Their retreat director
gave us an informative conference about a heroic wife, mother, widow,
and nun, followed by a tour, brief snack break, game of Catholic Trivia,
and concluded with Mass and the Novena to St. Rita. (There were visitors
to the Shrine who commented very favorably about the students, as did
the staff. The teachers and I wanted to share that with you. Also,
in addition to being the Saint of the Impossible, she is also the Patron of
Parenthood and her picture in now displayed outside the School Office.)
2. Our 4th graders had a safe and enjoyable trip to Pennsbury Manor. They
were glad about knowing some of the information they heard and their
behavior was commendable.
