1. *St. Katharine Drexel used her fortune to assist Native-Americans and
African-Americans. Her Sisters carry on her work today. As each 4th
grade class moves on they are made aware of her contribution to the
Church and its ministry. Also we live in her neighborhood since her family
lived here (when they were not in the city) and when much of Calvary was
farmland. Years ago one of our parishioners told me he took care of their
stables and the 3 Drexel daughters would go horseback riding where
Kipling Lane is now. We really miss her shrine...
2. Thank you to our 2nd & 3rd graders for the many lunches brought in today
for the homeless who visit St. Francis Inn! They will feast on the tasty &
nourishing food while reading the caring messages and admiring the
awesome artwork! Thank you, parents/guardians for helping your kiddos
be mindful of those in need!
3. School pictures were finished before Noon and we are grateful for your
cooperation after numerous postponements.
4. Reminder: Forms due tomorrow & they are posted on the school website:
Guidelines for Virtual/Quarantined students Grades 1 to 8 and Trimester 3
On-site/Virtual Learning Survey. TY!
5. Grades Pre-K & K may order pizza tomorrow ($1.50) for your lunches on
Friday.
6. Tonight is an OLC Burger King Night. It is optional. No flyers will be sent
home and no raffle tickets this month. We continue to encourage your
families to stay safe.
