'Tis peaceful in the village and so I spent some time reading the letters I ask the students in Grades 3 to 7 to write me which I share with Mrs. Costello.
The students let us know how their year went and I must say they are quite good at developing coping skills. They minimize personal speed bumps (which we make note of) and maximize the fun times. They are very affirming, devoted to their teachers, crazy about dress-down-days, and as usual offered a number of suggestions they would like to see happen at OLC! There were the usual hopeful requests for longer gym classes, recess, & lunch (apparently not mindful that we would have longer hours in school) but one clever lad addressed that by suggesting faster clocks in the classrooms! A sweet young lady thanked me for giving them off on Saturdays & Sundays! A fan of the Food Network suggested: Meatball Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Wendy's Wednesdays, lce Cream Thursdays, & Friendly's Fridays! Some lads wanted Flyers tickets raffled on Burger King Nights! Ah yes! Just thought I'd share some thoughts from our kiddos!
Please relax from home-work-free nights and enjoy your children. We pray you will all stay safe and have a richly blessed summer! You are fantastic supporters and great partners in the education of our children! A Happy Father's Day to our Dads, Pop-Pops, uncles, etc! God bless you everyone!
