1. Grades 3 to 8: if your child wishes to join the Legion of Mary, please send signed permission forms to the office. (They meet on Tuesdays in the back of the Lower Church to pray the rosary and make rosaries with Mrs. Fischer.)
2. Reminders were sent home with your youngest about our 1st Burger King night of this school year! (Philly Mills from 5 to 8 P.M.)
3. Grades PreK & K may bring in orders for nuggets/fries ($2.75) tomorrow for lunch on Friday.
4. Grade 8: Grateful for generous response from the Class of 2018 for the lunches brought in for the homeless visiting St. Francis Inn!
5. After School Mall booklets are returned on Friday, we will begin to distribute prizes and have a drawing for the "Joe Bot" walking, talking robot and "Stuart" the two foot, jumbo, inflatable, radio-controlled Minion. These two are boxed and outside my office. One wee lad asked another what the Joe Bot could do and when the response was "anything!" The wee lad asked "Can he cook dinner?" Sorry Moms, I cannot reveal his identity for obvious reasons.
6. On Friday every student will receive an ice cream treat for the feast of Our Lady of Calvary. A reminder that it is also a donation dress-down day for the Catholic schools adversely affected by the recent hurricanes.
7. This year's CHOP PARKWAY WALK AND RUN will involve "TEAM BRAE" on Sunday, September 24th on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This walk is CHOP's largest and directly benefits their Oncology Department. This is the 5th year for TEAM BRAE and they could use additional team-mates to join them or donate to CHOP. The link is - https://chop.donordrive.com/team/brae
(An upcoming Donation Dress-Down Day will contribute to TEAM BRAE! Braeden Most is an OLC 4th grader bravely dealing with chemo treatments and has our consistent prayers and support over the years...)
