1. Distribution of ashes at the Masses and services went well. (We did assure
the students that the ashes were not hot, just as we let them know the
candles used to bless their throats last month were not lit. You're
welcome!) Grades 3 to 8 received Lenten booklets to be completed by the
end of the Easter break and will merit a Religion grade for their effort.
Grades 1 to 8 will be given a small wooden disk (heart/cross imprint) to
be kept in their backpack, jacket pocket, or pencil case and a holy card
with the poem/prayer: "I Carry This Cross in My Pocket." Stations of the
Cross will be after the 8 A.M. Friday Masses of Lent with each grade
having a turn.
2. Grades Pre-K and K may being in orders for pizza ($1.25) tomorrow for
their lunches on Friday.
3. Snack orders for next week: 5 days.
4. Grades 5 & 6 have a "Fuel Up to Play 60" meeting tomorrow after school
in 2C.
5. The Little Sisters of the Poor who work with the elderly in 31 countries
will receive a donation of $1,000 thanks to your generous hearts.
6. Thank you to Grade 2 for the lunches for the homeless today!
7. Please pray for the grandfather of Kaitlyn (5B) and Aiden (2D) Jaskiewcz
who passed away.
8. Science Explorers will meet after school tomorrow.
