1. Today our students joined the EWTN sponsored "Worldwide Children's Eucharistic and
Marian Holy Hour for Peace." Our 8th graders represented the school at the 8 A.M.
Mass and were encouraged by the powerful message of Father Babowitch who
reminded them of their soon-to-be-Confirmation and their readiness to assume trhe
responsibility of Catholics committed to their faith. They remained in church for the
recommended prayers of the Angel who appeared to the three children at Fatima,
Lucia, Francisco, & Jacinta, in 1917 prior to Mary's visits. We prayed a decade of the
rosary, the Act of Contrition, and the Angel's prayer 3X: "My God, I believe, I adore, I
trust, and I love Thee. I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not
trust and do not love Thee." Throughout the day, classes made their way to the upper
Church, and prayed the above, in front of the Blessed Sacrament. From 10:00 until
11:00 the students participated in the televised Holy Hour during which our students
united spiritually by praying for peace with children around the world as each
continent was prayed for separately. It was an inspiring and meaningful experience.
