1. A special word of gratitude to Father Babowitch, our staff, and students for
the many fun activities that were participated in and cheered on by a very
spirited group today. From the musical chairs, to the Pre-K & K "Dance
Party" to the afternoon Volleyball competition, it was a fun-filled day.
2. Tomorrow at our first Friday Masses, the students will have their throats
blessed to honor the gift of healing that St. Blaise, Bishop & martyr, had
when he cured a young lad who was choking on a fishbone. Our PreK and K
students will have their throats blessed between the 8 A.M. and 9 A.M.
Masses. At lunchtime the students will receive an ice cream treat!
3. Grades 7 & 2 may bring in orders for hot dogs/chips ($1.50) tomorrow for
their lunches on Tuesday.
4. A reminder that Monday we do not have school as it is the Pastor's Holiday.
(Father usually takes Easter Tuesday, but not this year.) The Archdiocese
advised us that if there is an EAGLES victory, whatever day is planned for a
parade, will be a school holiday.
5. A reminder that the students are encouraged to wear their favorite
team's attire/colors and bring in a can or package of soup that should be
deposited at whatever entrance the students come into the school. This
makes it easier/safer than bringing down heavy boxes of soup from the
classrooms. After they are boxed and loaded on to our van, they will be
transported to the Holy Redeemer Food Cupboard! This generous gesture is
always greatly appreciated by those who will benefit from your kindness.
6. Our students have written "Angel" cards to our Police, Fire Fighters, and
Troops this past week. They will be dropped off at the 8th District and Fire
Station on Comly with baskets of Girl Scout Cookies and Dunkin' Donut Gift
Cards. These First Responders are always there when we need them and we
owe them our prayers for their safety, our gratitude, and absolute respect!
7. If anyone has an address for anyone in the military to receive their well-
deserved share of the cookies, as well as other helpful items, please send it
in or email me ASAP. TY!
8. Parent Communication Folders will be sent home next week. Go EAGLES!
