1. We remember in our prayers the repose of the soul of Lt. LeTourneau,
who died last weekend fighting a fire and saving lives. His funeral Mass
was this morning at the Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul.
2. The Rocketry meeting scheduled for today is postponed until next Friday.
3. Cub Pack 460 is having an all you can eat Pizza Social tonight from 6:00 to
8:00 P.M. at OLC gym. Admission is $6 a person and children 5 and under
are free.
4. Grades 6 & 3 may bring in their orders for nuggets/fries ($2.75) & ice cream
on Tuesday for their lunches on Wednesday.
5. Ryland Ward, the 5 year old survivor of the shooting at the Baptist Church
in Texas, was brought home yesterday on a fire truck by Rusty Duncan,
a voluteer firefighter who dicovered Ryland in the church after he had been
shot five times. Ryland had numerous surgeries and is doing fine. His
step-mother and two sisters died in the tragic shooting. Our students sent
him cards before Christmas to cheer him along the way to recovery.
6. We reminded the students that the holiday on Monday to honor the memory
of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is to remember his service as we celebrate his
life.
