1. This past Saturday, the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist was given to our
Communion Class at the 9:00, 11:00, & 1:00 P.M. Masses. Their preparation
and hard work resulted in truly inspiring ceremonies. Father Babowitch put
the students at ease and provided all with meaningful liturgies. Father was
assisted by Father Kirk, Deacon Bell, Deacon Teson, Sara Volpe, Mrs. Gentile
and our choirs, and our altar servers and ushers. We appreciate the
preparation provided by our teachers and hope this experience continues
with frequent Mass atendance each weekend by the students and their
families. It is not just celebrating the moment, but continuing the
momentum.
2. Today at St. Joseph's University, Aidan Haurin was in stalled with 32 other
8th graders from across the Archdiocese as Neumann Scholars. These
students will have their complete tuition covered by the Connelly
Foundation at the Archdiocesan High School of their choice. This past Friday
our 6th graders and their families were given information from the
Connelly Foundation inviting these students to consider doing their best in
7th grade so that they may qualify to take the Neumann Scholarship Test at
the beginning of 8th Grade. The Connelly Foundation takes every
opportunity to advance Catholic Education in the Archdiocese. For this we
are most grateful!
3. Tomorrow evening Grades 2, 6, & 8 will be participating in our annual May
Procession and crowning of Mary after the 7 P.M. Mass in the Upper Church.
4. Grades 7 & 2 may bring in orders for nuggets/fries ($2.75) tomorrow for
their lunches on Tuesday.
