1. Our Catholic Schools Week activities closed last Friday with Grades 2 to 8 attending
First Friday Masses and all students having their throats blessed on the feast of Saint
Blaise. Our special guest at both Masses was Alixandra Holden, Mission Education
Manager from the Archdiocese. Ali's MCA "Missionary Childhood Association" goal is
to instruct students in the Archdiocese about her visit to missions as part of the Holy
Father's wish to aid children around the world by letting us know how to help them.
The poverty Ali experienced in a recent mission visit on the Feast of the Three Kings was met with the overwhelming tearful joy and gratitude of the parents when they were
given gifts for their children on this special feast! After sharing more of the culture she
experienced on her visit and enjoying the participation of our students, Ali will be
sending us for each student, small mite boxes for loose change of any amount for the
missions plus a special mission rosary with the decades different colors representing
the continents, as we pray daily for the missions and world peace. Lunch time ended
with an ice cream treat and all looking forward to our Eagles playing in the SuperBowl
next Sunday!
2. Congratulations to 1A and 6C, the homerooms winning our Saints' Bingo this past
week! Each student will receive a magnetic Saint for the front of their desks or on their
lockers plus an ice cream treat at lunch on Monday!
3. Grades 7 & 2 may order pizza tomorrow ($2) for Tuesday's lunch.
4. As mentioned in the February Parent letter, we will be praying three Hail Mary's each day for world peace.
